Top of the World participates with the NCAA as THE Locker-Room headwear supplier for major championship events.

Founded in 1986 by CEO Peter Wilson, Top of the World began importing and selling collegiate headwear at University of Oklahoma football games in Norman, OK. Convinced that the small business success would thrive with a broader base, Pete began to build an importing and distributing company aimed at a national market.

Growing slowly and steadily through the late 80's with the sales of collegiate headwear, Top of the World soon emerged as a major player in the marketplace by becoming the fashion leader in the early 90's, ranked first in sales by the Collegiate Licensing Company. After partnering with an international factory, the company was able to handle the demand for its product and attain substantial growth.

What began in a converted gas station is now a 100,000 square foot warehouse in Norman, Oklahoma. Situated on nine acres the company has had to enlarge both office and warehouse spaces twofold over the last decade to accommodate the growing and changing market. With the success of electronic commerce and quick response programs, Top of the World has been able to adapt to the ever changing markets.

Top of the World is a leader in the cutting edge technology it takes to be compliant with large corporations. We successfully manage their covenants for production, shipping, and information processing. We are the largest collegiate headwear supplier in multiple distribution channels, which indicates that Top of the World is still "On Top...and Climbing," for the new century.

Top of the World goes “Green”

Since it’s inception in 2006, Top of the World has saved approximately 3,000 trees and 1,000,000 gallons of water. On average, we recycle 5.62 tons of cardboard each month. Through July 2009 we have saved 608 cubic yards of landfill and 10,784 pounds of air pollution. Additionally, we have recycled 3,900 lbs of plastic bags, 3,600 lbs of paper, 2,000 lbs of shredded paper, 1,300 lbs of cardboard inserts, and 840 lbs of plastic straps. Going forward our ideal goal is to bail our own cardboard and convert to wind power.
